On 21 June 2022, TANLAP conducted a virtual meeting on Global Initiative to Amplify the call for a treaty to end violence against women and girls. The meeting was participated by Members of TANLAP, stakeholders and other activists working to ending GBV. TANLAP Board Chairperson Dr. Helen Kijo Bisimba officiated the meeting and gave an opening remarks. Ms. Anan Manzan Anodjo from Vital voices spoke on behalf of the guest of honor. Other speakers were Zainab Ali Khan who is the Global Coalition Coordinator in Pakistan and the Founding Working Group Member at the Every Women Treaty; Advocate Anna Kulaya- Executive Director of WiLDAF who is also a member of Legal Support Network on Family Law Issues and TANLAP Board Member gave a Tanzania situation on GBV, while the Role of Technology in ending GBV was presented by Advocate Geline Fuko -Executive Director of Tangible Initiative for Local Development in Tanzania.
