TANLAP Executive Director Ms. Christina Kamili Ruhinda giving the opening remarks in the National Symposium on the impelementation of laws on crime against morality explained that, it is high time for the society and the Government to evaluate themselves on the issue of child marriage which is discriminatory and takes away the girl child's rights to education and subject a girl to GBV acts which are crime against morality. She called upon the Government to enact a comprehensive law against GBV and other related laws especially the Law of the Marriage Act of 1971 on the age of marriage, she further called upon the community members to join hands to condem all the gender based violence acts.
