The Legal Support Network for Family Law Issues meeting

The Legal Support Network for Family Law issues which is coordinated by TANLAP under Mwanamke Imara Project engaged with representatives from different Government Ministries to discuss on the need for the enactment of the Anti-Gender Based Violence Act. All participants agreed that, the Anti- Gender Based Violence Law is necessary and timely as incidences of violences are increasing.They provided their inputs on the draft proposed bill to enact the comprehensive Anti- Gender Based Violence Law ,TANLAP under Mwanamke Imara Project will write a comprehensive paper on the need of Anti- GBV Act and implement the inputs that were given and submit to the Minister of Constitutional and Legal Affairs as advised during the meeting. The Guest of honour for the meeting was the Director for Human Rights in the Ministry of Constitutional and Legal Affairs Ms. Nkasory Sarakikya who represented The Minister for Constitutional and Legal Affairs ,Dr. Damas Ndumbaro (MP). The event held at Morena Hotel in Morogoro from November 16-17,2022.
