Join Our Team at TANLAP

The Tanzania Network of Legal Aid Providers (TANLAP) is looking for dedicated professionals to join our team in Dar es Salaam.

We have two full-time positions available:


1. Human Resources Officer


Position Summary:As a key member of the TANLAP team, the Human Resources Officer will support HR matters to ensure a high-performing team and efficient operations. Your responsibilities will include recruitment, onboarding, payroll management, performance management, employee engagement, and ensuring compliance with legal requirements.


Key Responsibilities:


• Coordinate the recruitment cycle and manage onboarding for new employees.

• Maintain employee databases and ensure compliance with statutory returns.

• Track performance appraisals and support employee development initiatives.

• Handle employee grievances and disciplinary actions in coordination with management.

• Implement employee engagement and wellness programs.


Qualifications:


• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field (HR Certification is a plus).

• 3-5 years of HR experience, preferably in an NGO setting.

• Proficient in English and Swahili, with strong communication and analytical skills.


2. Procurement Officer


Position Summary:The Procurement Officer will manage daily procurement activities, ensuring the timely delivery of goods, works, and services while promoting ethical purchasing standards. You will work closely with the Finance Manager and operations staff to meet the procurement needs of TANLAP.


Key Responsibilities:


• Select appropriate suppliers and contractors while ensuring sustainability and cost-effectiveness.

• Monitor supplier performance and maintain contracts with vendors.

• Control expenses against approved budgets and develop sourcing strategies.

• Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct annual asset stock takes.


Qualifications:


• Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement or related field (Procurement Certification is a plus).

• 3-5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in an NGO environment.

• Proficient in English and Swahili, with strong attention to detail and negotiation skills.
