Launching Mama Samia Legal Aid Campaign at Simiyu Region

On 18th September 2023, TANLAP participated in the launching of Mama Samia Legal Aid Campaign in Bariadi-Simiyu region.The aim of the Campaign is to enhance access to justice for indigents through provision of legal aid including legal counseling and education. The Guest of honor during the launching was Hon. Ambassador Dr. Pindi Hazara Chana the Minister for Constitutional and Legal Affairs who commended the efforts of Legal aid and access to justice Institutions such as TANLAP for being at the forefront to provide legal aid services as part of improving access to justice for all in the country. Dr. Chana also condemned GBV acts which are escalating in the community and call for every citizen involvement to protect human rights in order to have the GBV free society. She encouraged Legal Aid Providers to continue collaborating with the Government in the implementation of the Mama Samia Legal Aid Campaign that will be implemented across the country for three years. TANLAP will continue to participate in the campaign by providing legal aid services and education to community members.
