On March 28th, 2026, TANLAP collaborated with the Temeke One Stop Judicial Centre to conduct a Will Writing training for widows from VIWOTA (Vivian Women Tanzania) in Temeke District. TANLAP as a host to the Legal Support on Family Law Issues Organisation ensures women receive this training which aimed to build awareness on the importance of writing a will and addressed critical issues affecting women’s rights, including matrimonial disputes, inheritance, and child custody.

Hon. Judge Mwanabaraka Mnyukwa officially opened the training, emphasizing the need for wills to prevent family conflicts. TANLAP’s Acting Executive Director, Adv. Fransisca Silayo, expressed appreciation for the partnership, highlighting TANLAP’s commitment to strengthening access to justice for women and vulnerable groups.

The training participants appreciated having impacted with knowledge which enlightened them on many things they were not aware of.

The training was part of International Women’s Day commemoration, empowering widows to secure their futures and protect their rights. TANLAP looks forward to continued collaborations to drive meaningful change for all especially the indegents.
